McHorrifying

I was just on MSN.com and came across this great site: Picture Show: Visions of Fast Food

As we all know, I'm a fast food junkie. I love Big Macs. When I saw the picture above, of what I can only assume is my beloved "2-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a-sesame-seed-bun," I didn't love it so much. I had a similar feeling after I saw Supersize Me the first time. After watching Morgan Spurlock regurgitate a double quarter pounder all over a McDonald's parking lot, I didn't eat McD's (or any other fast food) for about a month.

Then I really wanted a Big Mac, so I started again.

And now, for your moment of Zen:

If we actually stopped to look and think about all the crap we eat we'd probably never eat fast food again.

Maybe we should start playing Supersize Me every morning and night until we lose our appetite for the fake food "they" try to convince us to eat.

I'm glad you started writing again.

I'm so glad you started writing again too. I'm going through a similar thing (weight regain, trying to turn it into weight re-lost), and it's so nice to know I'm not alone!

Being fat is sometimes fun and cool but there are still many complains from those that are really problematic about it.
So, here's a very effective and suited link for all of you...

I'm so glad that you're back! I missed your writing. You should be proud that you took the first big step and blogged about it. Just by knowing that, I know that you can make healthy decisions and lose again. Just take it one day at a time, and don't beat yourself up. It could happen to any of us. Again, so glad you're back!

hi morgan - i just discovered your blog & really enjoyed reading through some of your archives. i think you are an outstanding writer & am impressed with how much you've accomplished. don't think your slide negates what you were able to do - it doesn't. it just means you can do it again if you have to!

hope you come back & start writing more...

Hey Morgan, just checkin' in! I come back to your blog regularly, just waiting to see that you've started blogging again. I have such faith in you, I think we all do. I am so amazed that you accomplished what you did, when I can't even seem to make it through one day without binging and then feeling awful about myself. Hope you're having a great holiday season (did y'all get buried in snow) and a happy new year!

I know it's been forever, and you're probably surprised people even still find this blog, but I just read through all of your archives and I think you're a great writer! I'm in the same boat as you - lost a lot of weight, now I've gained back even more and am just not sure what comes next. I hope you come back to blogging, you have a really great perspective and it's comforting to know the struggle is shared.
